About us
Christina Petrou, Joline Soomers and Madieke Marjon Schoots met while performing in André Rieu's Johann Strauss Orchestra. While touring the world, they developed a friendship that laid the foundation for 'VerrasSing!'
British soprano Christina, Dutch mezzo-soprano Madieke and our true Maastrichter musical theater singer, Joline comprise a vocal trio that covers everything from pop to opera. On request they can provide concerts for any occasion.

Christina Petrou was born in Hertfordshire, UK to a Greek Cypriot father and Guyanese mother. She had a childhood interest in dance and music, learning the piano and violin at a young age, she only began taking singing lessons at the age of 14. At 18, she gained a place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, to study for her Bachelor of Music honours degree in voice.
After graduating, Christina had a varied career, performing in operas as both a soloist and in the chorus, concerts, recitals while also teaching singing.
In 2017, without knowing what to expect, Christina was asked by chance, to sing with the orchestra of André Rieu and within a year had moved to Maastricht to continue touring the world and performing with his Johann Strauss orchestra.

Madieke Marjon Schoots, mezzo-soprano, studied classical singing at the Utrecht Conservatory. She obtained her Master's Degree cum laude and subsequently became an ensemble member of Opera Studio Nederland, where she focused on opera.
She performed roles with De Nederlandse Opera, the Nationale Reisopera, Opera Zuid, Holland Opera and Opera Spanga. Besides opera, Madieke likes to make chamber music and she is attracted to the light classical genre. She regularly appears on stage with André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra.
Madieke Marjon Schoots
Joline Soomers, Dutch soprano and actress, was born in Maastricht . In 2019, she graduated cum laude from the Tilburg conservatoire where she studied Musical Theatre and classical singing.
In 2019, she began singing and touring the world with André Rieu and his Johan Strauss Orchestra.
